Before 9/11, the bombing of Air India Flight 182 was the deadliest act of aviation terrorism in the world, killing all 329 people on board and marking the worst terrorist attack in Canadian history. 
FLIGHT 182 is a narrative short that turns this global tragedy into an intimate family story. Over the course of a single day, a husband prepares to fly to India as his mother nears the end of her life, while his wife and young daughter confront the growing unease around them. Warnings from a separatist group seeking revenge against the government transform what should be a simple trip into an impossible choice between love, responsibility, and survival. 
The film offers a slice-of-life portrait of a Punjabi Sikh family caught between continents, asking what it means to protect those you love when danger is both distant and suddenly close to home.
